A Pet Parent’s Guide to Reading Labels

Decoding the Dates
Transparency is one of the pillars of Le Bubu Pets. We want every pet parent to feel confident when looking at our packaging. The first thing to note is the date format: our Thai partners follow the international standard of Day/Month/Year (DD/MM/YYYY). For example, a product marked 05/10/2026 was manufactured on the 5th of October.
MANU vs. EXP: The Safety Buffer
To comply with FDA regulations in the Philippines, most of our products are labeled with a 12-month shelf life from the date of manufacturing (MANU). However, because our products are all-natural—free from chemicals, added fillers, and artificial preservatives—their actual longevity is often greater.
Our dehydrated and freeze-dried items remove moisture, the primary cause of spoilage. When stored correctly, these can often maintain their nutritional value for an additional 6 to 12 months beyond the initial 12-month window.
Storage is Key
To get the most out of your purchase, always read the label for storage instructions. Whether it's transferring opened cans to a plastic container to prevent oxidation or ensuring a zip-lock bag is fully pressed shut, these steps ensure safety.
Our lines are always open via our social media channels and email if you ever need help decoding a label!
