Podium Paw Social Recap: How Le Bubu Pets and The Modern Market Brought Manila's Pet Community Together
Share
Four days, one atrium, and an entire community of Manila pet parents who showed up in force — Podium Paw Social has officially wrapped, and we're still coming down from the high. From Thursday through Sunday, August 13 to 16, the 2F Atrium of The Podium turned into the kind of space we've always wanted for Filipino pet owners: open, welcoming, and genuinely built around the idea that our pets deserve more than an afterthought in our routines.
As co-presenters of the fair alongside The Modern Market, Le Bubu Pets got to help shape something bigger than a single booth or a single brand. This was The Modern Market's first-ever pet fair, and watching it come together — the lineup, the layout, the energy of the crowd on opening day — reminded us exactly why we started this brand in the first place.
A Community, Not Just a Marketplace
What made Podium Paw Social different from a typical vendor bazaar was the intention behind it. Thirteen pet-approved brands filled the atrium over the four days: All Kind Pet Naturals, Concepstore, Dear Pets, Kawpeng Haus, La Bonita Charms and Craft Lab Co., Le Bubu Pets, Mamonday, Nana Pro Litter, Nü Paws, Paws & Kisses, Sunday Pets Club, Tailed Trails, and Tippy Tappy Club. Each one brought a different piece of what modern pet parenting in the Philippines actually looks like — nutrition, grooming, accessories, enrichment, and everything in between.
Add in a photo booth capturing pets and their humans mid-celebration, pastries and drinks to keep everyone fueled through a 10 AM to 10 PM run, live DJ sets that kept the atrium buzzing, and pet talks that gave visitors real, useful information rather than just a sales pitch — and you get a fair that felt less like a shopping trip and more like a block party for the city's pet-loving community. Free entrance meant nobody had to think twice about bringing the whole family, furbabies included.
What Happened at the Le Bubu Pets Booth
Our corner of the fair leaned on the brands that built our reputation in the first place. Visitors got to sample and shop Hoya Barkery's single-ingredient chews and freeze-dried treats, learn about Pawrapy's dermatologically tested, hypoallergenic skin care line, and ask questions face-to-face about the products they'd only ever seen online. There's something different about watching a pet parent read an ingredient list out loud to their dog, or seeing a cat sniff a treat sample before its human decides to buy — that's the kind of connection a product page can't fully replicate, and it's exactly why showing up in person matters to us.
For anyone checking out at the booth, payment stayed quick and simple — our team ran on GCash tools throughout the fair, the same setup that's kept our pop-up lines moving smoothly at events like The Modern Market's regular gatherings. No fumbling, no delays, just more time spent talking pets instead of processing transactions.
A Bonus for the Dining Pet Parents
For anyone who made a day of it, the fun didn't have to stop at the atrium doors. Starting August 13, guests could head down to NIKKEI on the ground floor of The Podium to dine with their pets and pick up a free treat for their furbaby — a small but thoughtful touch that turned a fair visit into a full afternoon out with your dog or cat in tow. It's the kind of detail that signals a shift already underway in Metro Manila: more spaces are recognizing that pets aren't guests to be tolerated, they're part of the outing.
Why This Mattered to Us
We've built Le Bubu Pets around a simple belief — that Filipino pet parents deserve access to the same caliber of thoughtfully sourced, genuinely effective products that pet owners anywhere else in the world get to choose from. Co-presenting Podium Paw Social was a chance to put that belief into practice at scale, standing alongside twelve other brands who clearly share the same standard, and putting it directly in front of thousands of pet parents over four days.
It was also, honestly, just a joy. There's a specific kind of energy that happens when a mall atrium fills up with dogs in outfits, cats in strollers, and owners comparing notes on which treats their picky eaters actually finish. That's the community we're building toward every day, not just during a four-day event.
Thank You, Manila
To everyone who stopped by our booth, asked questions, sampled a Hoya Barkery treat, or picked up a bottle of Pawrapy for a pet with sensitive skin — thank you. To The Modern Market team, for trusting us as co-presenters on their first pet fair and for building an event this thoughtfully. And to the thirteen brands who filled that atrium with genuinely good products — it was an honor to share the floor with you.
If you weren't able to make it out to SM Podium this time, everything we showcased at the fair is available anytime at lebubupets.com, and you can always find a rotating lineup of our hero brands at our permanent corner at Super Barket, 4th Floor Spatio, Opus Mall. We're already looking forward to the next chance to bring the Le Bubu Pets community together in person — until then, we'll see you online, at Spatio, or at the next pop-up we can't wait to announce.
