The Gourmet Pet Pantry's Final Days: How Le Bubu Pets and The Modern Market Are Closing Out SM Aura's Pet Food Fair

The Gourmet Pet Pantry, SM Aura's first pet food fair, is in its final stretch. What started as a Friday-morning opening at the UG Main Atrium has turned into a weekend-long gathering of Manila's most food-obsessed pet parents — and for Le Bubu Pets, it's been a front-row seat to just how far the local pet food scene has come.

If you've been meaning to swing by, this is your reminder: the fair runs through Sunday, September 20, from 10 AM to 10 PM, free entrance, at the UG Main Atrium, SM Aura, Taguig. After that, the doors close and this particular lineup packs up.

A Partnership, Not Just a Pop-Up

The Gourmet Pet Pantry carries the tagline "A pet food fair made for good taste," and it's presented by SM Aura and Modern Pets — the recurring pet-fair banner from The Modern Market, the team behind August's Podium Paw Social at The Podium. Le Bubu Pets co-presents this one alongside The Modern Market, continuing a partnership that's become one of the more natural collaborations in the local pet space.

It's worth being upfront about what that role means: this event is a branding and marketing partnership, not an on-site booth for us. You won't find a Le Bubu Pets table among the exhibitors this time around — our part has been helping shape and champion the fair itself, alongside The Modern Market, as two brands that care about where the Philippine pet industry is headed. If you're looking for us in person day to day, that's still the Le Bubu Pets corner at Super Barket, 4th Floor Spatio, Opus Mall, or a future Modern Market pop-up. For this particular weekend, think of Le Bubu Pets as one of the hands behind the curtain rather than one of the stalls in front of it.

Ten Brands, One Weekend

What the fair itself brought together is genuinely worth a visit. Ten pet-approved brands set up shop for the four-day run: Barktastic Treats, Little Lion Treats, Vital Recipe, Zoomy, Litol Buddy, Tippy Tappy Club, Posh Pets, Haru Haru, Detail Pet Co., and Pet Club. Between them, attendees have had a chance to sample and shop everything from treats and recipes to grooming and lifestyle finds — a genuine cross-section of what independent Filipino pet brands are building right now.

That's really the point of an event like this. A single afternoon at a fair like The Gourmet Pet Pantry can introduce a pet parent to two or three new brands they'd never have found scrolling online, and that kind of discovery is exactly what Le Bubu Pets exists to make easier the rest of the year — we've built our own catalog the same way, by personally vetting brands (many of them Thailand-sourced) before we ever bring them home to Skye, Binu, and Max, let alone to our own shelves.

The Gourmet Pet Pantry is that same instinct applied to SM Aura, with its own lineup and its own personality.
